Private Equity and Private Credit Investments

This course is a high-level introduction to this increasingly important asset class. Learners will understand the features, investment characteristics, risk and return profiles, and diversification benefits of private equity and private credit investments, and other drivers of investors’ interest in them. The course also covers sources of value creation, risk and costs in private equity and private credit investing. Next, the course compares and contrasts leveraged buyouts and venture capital deals. In private credit, the course covers a wide range of debt types, like middle market lending, mezzanine lending, and distressed debt, to name a few. Learners will consider fund structures, terms, the due diligence process, and how to interpret the financial performance private equity and private credit investments. The course includes several short “Practitioner Perspectives” videos presented by seasoned private equity and private credit experts. !
